OriScoop Research Agreement

Welcome to OriScoop. These Terms of Use govern access to OriScoop’s website, research databases, and related services.

1. Permitted Use

OriScoop provides college sports information for personal, educational, journalistic, broadcast, and professional research.

Visitors may search our databases, review individual player records, and reference factual information in their work.

When referencing OriScoop’s original research or analysis, attribution to OriScoop is appreciated.

2. Prohibited Data Collection and Redistribution

Without prior written authorization from OriScoop, users may not:

  • Use bots, crawlers, scripts, or automated tools to scrape, harvest, or systematically extract research records.
  • Manually or automatically collect substantial portions of OriScoop’s databases for redistribution.
  • Copy, reproduce, republish, sell, license, or distribute OriScoop’s research compilations as competing or substitute datasets.
  • Circumvent technical restrictions, access limits, or security measures.
  • Use multiple accounts, automated requests, or other methods to evade data-access restrictions.

These restrictions govern use of OriScoop’s services and do not claim ownership over independently obtained public facts or restrict rights that applicable law protects.

3. Intellectual Property

OriScoop retains its rights in original website content, written research, graphics, design elements, and protectable aspects of its research compilations.

Individual facts, including player names, schools, statistics, and transfers, are not claimed as OriScoop’s exclusive property.

School, conference, and other third-party logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

4. Commercial Use and Licensing

Legitimate professional research, including broadcast preparation and journalism, is permitted.

Bulk acquisition, resale, commercial redistribution, or the creation of substantially duplicative datasets using OriScoop’s services requires prior written permission.

Organizations interested in research licensing or other commercial arrangements may contact OriScoop.

5. Research Accuracy

OriScoop strives to provide accurate, regularly verified information. However, player movement, recruiting classifications, rosters, coaching appointments, and statistics may change.

Information is provided for research purposes without a guarantee of completeness or accuracy. Users should independently verify information when necessary.

Corrections may be submitted through our Contact page.

6. Access Restrictions

OriScoop may restrict, suspend, or terminate research access when it reasonably determines that a visitor has violated these terms, attempted unauthorized bulk extraction, or interfered with site operations.

Access restrictions may include request limits, verification requirements, or other security measures.

7. Agreement to Research Access Terms

Access to designated research databases may require users to review these Terms of Use and affirmatively select an agreement option.

Users who do not accept the applicable terms may be denied access to those research features.

8. Privacy

Information collected through the website, including any access or agreement records, is governed by our Privacy Policy. Visitors should review that policy to understand applicable data practices.

9. Changes to These Terms

OriScoop may update these terms as its services evolve. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Where appropriate, continued research access may require users to review and accept updated terms.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms, research permissions, commercial licensing, or potential violations may be submitted through the OriScoop Contact page.
